Vivienne Westwood EU
The Made to Order collection offers a selection of seasonal and classic Vivienne Westwood bridal styles, featuring key design notes from the atelier. Designs follow traditional tailoring techniques, combined with historical and experimental pattern cutting.
Our 2024 Made-to-Order collection presents fourteen looks, through classic styles synonymous with the house; new and renewed silhouettes, historical and experimental cuts.
Made-to-Order designs require a minimum of four months to produce. Please allow 6-8 weeks following your gown’s delivery for alterations. Dresses can be produced with a shorter lead time, but this is at the discretion of the studio, and is subject to rush fees.
We also offer a range of veils and accessories to complement your look, which can be tried on during your appointment.
Making a Couture garment is a fully bespoke experience, which requires a sketched design, along with toile and silk fittings with our Couture team. Through a series of private appointments, every bespoke gown is hand-crafted with dedicated time and attention to detail – crafted at the Vivienne Westwood atelier in London.
This exclusive service provides the opportunity to create a uniquely tailored style, specific to your personal brief. During each step of the process, your personal aesthetic, shape, colour and the details of your event are considered. Taking inspiration for your gown from our portfolio of couture garments, you will work closely with the design team to create a sketched design, adapted to your unique vision.
This service opens a vast number of possibilities and is ideal for a person with an open mind and flexible budget. We advise all clients interested in this service to have a minimum period of four to six months, due to the creative process which may instigate new ideas and design alterations. Prices are available upon request.

Kindly note that your appointment fee will be lost if you fail to turn up for your appointment, or if you cancel within anything less than 48 hours’ notice. We kindly ask for 48 hours advance notice if you are cancelling your appointment, out of respect for waitlisted brides and in consideration of our staff’s time.

Yes, you can take photos, though please keep in mind that the photos you take may not be an accurate representation of the final dress. The dresses you try on during your appointment will be unaltered samples, and therefore inaccurate in terms of size or fit. Please also note that the appearance of the dress may vary based on lighting or the angle it is taken from.
Kindly note that video filming will not be permitted across all boutiques. Please contact your local boutique for further information.
Yes, this is certainly possible and is very common among our international clients (with the exception of our Milan boutique, who do not offer this service). Please note that shipping fees, along with duties/taxes are to be paid by the client.
The majority of our bridal designs are available to be ordered in sizes UK6 – UK20. Our stylists do their best to illustrate the fit of each gown if it is not in your corresponding size. Subject to availability – please contact your local boutique.
You are welcome to bring your own shoes if you’d prefer, though we have a range of Vivienne Westwood accessories and shoes for you to try on at the boutique. Nude underwear is also recommended, but not essential. Please avoid the use of fake tan and heavy make or perfume, as this can stain the samples.
For our Couture service, customised fabrics can be woven especially for you, with the opportunity to personalise design details - such as handmade embroidery, lace, veils and accessories. Before the garment is made in your chosen fabric, it is made in a toiling fabric, to ensure the engineering of the design and construction is flawless. We advise two to three silk fittings after the toiling stage. Should you not be able to attend all the fittings, our team will be available to travel to you.
Alterations are charged separately and are priced depending on the work requested, along with the length of time it takes to complete the alterations at the studio. Further information regarding alterations will be provided when placing an order. Subject to availability – please contact your local boutique.
